Loren and Edwin’s wedding was one of those days that felt personal from the very start. I actually met them years back at Great America’s Winter Wonderland, and while we had a great time then, I never would’ve guessed I’d be the one capturing their wedding day. Funny how things come full circle.
They’re two of the most laidback people I’ve met. The kind of people you can talk to for hours without even realizing time passed. Going into the wedding, I already knew the vibe was going to be easy, especially with how many mutual friends we share. There was just this level of comfort from the beginning that made everything feel natural.
Their ceremony at Casa Bella in Sunol felt like a full on reunion. Everywhere you looked, people were reconnecting, catching up, and just genuinely happy to be there. It didn’t feel stiff or overly structured, it felt alive. Being surrounded by that kind of energy made every moment more worthwhile.
One of the most memorable parts of the day was during wedding party photos at the venue. At some point, I started playing music, and without even saying anything, everyone just started dancing and understood the message. No direction, just a bunch of energy. It turned into one of those moments that perfectly summed up who they are and the people they’re surrounded by.
That being said, I already knew the reception was about to go crazy. With so many of my old dance friends in the room, there was no way that dance floor wasn’t going to be a good time. Once we got to HL Peninsula, it basically turned into one big party. You had everyone singing Keyshia Cole at the top of their lungs, money confetti flying during the entrance with shots being poured left and right, a loud lion dance taking over the space, breakdancing circles forming (yes, I had to jump in too), and somehow Loren and Edwin ending up behind the DJ booth running the show. It was chaotic in the best way and one of those nights you wish you could relive.
Overall, just an insanely fun day from start to finish. Loren and Edwin, appreciate you both for trusting me with this. Definitely one for the books.
Cheers,
David
