Kevin and Jenna first found us through a mutual friend of Kevin’s, and from the very beginning, they shared how important it was for them to capture the emotions and the smaller details of the day while still feeling comfortable and present. One thing they told us early on that stuck was how they envisioned their wedding not just as the union of their marriage, but as the union of their families, and that really shaped how we approached the day.
The day started with their tea ceremony, and it set the tone right away. Seeing both sides of the family come together felt less like a formal tradition and more like a reunion. There was so much joy in the room, in the hugs, the laughter, and the way people naturally gravitated toward each other. We found ourselves leaning more into those candid, in between moments, especially with family, because it was clear that was where so much of the meaning lived. The quiet exchanges, proud looks, and small interactions all added up to something really special.
As the day moved forward, Kevin and Jenna shared their first look, and it felt effortless, just two people genuinely happy to see each other. One of our favorite parts was how the groomsmen were off in the distance watching it all unfold, fully invested and enjoying the moment like their own front row seat. It added this light, funny energy that made the whole moment even more memorable. Their time with the wedding party carried that same energy, a lot of laughs, a lot of movement, and just people fully showing up for them.
One moment we kept coming back to was how the day began. When me and Aaron first arrived, the weather was pretty gloomy, and you could feel a bit of uncertainty in the air. Right as the ceremony started, things began to shift, the clouds slowly parted, and by the middle of the ceremony, the sun broke through and lit everything up in this warm, golden light. The timing of it all felt unreal and made the moment even more special.
What really stood out to us was how Kevin and Jenna balance each other. Kevin shared how much he admires Jenna’s sense of responsibility and how deeply she cares for her family, how she shows up through both the highs and the lows, and how being with her has brought him closer to his own family and a sense of peace in his life. Jenna described Kevin as kind, bubbly, and nurturing, someone who brings out the best in her, whose loyalty never wavers, and who has become her anchor.
