Blanco Urban Wedding | Tien & Shania

Every now and then, we get to capture a wedding that feels like pure magic, and Tien and Shania’s big day was exactly that. These high school sweethearts turned their dream wedding into a reality, and we were lucky enough to be there to document every moment. Even better, they coincidentally picked the same ceremony and reception venues as one of our past couples – St. Victor’s Church and Blanco Urban in downtown San Jose. Are we starting a trend here?

The day was full of highlights and there were definitely some memorable ones that we couldn’t forget.

The morning kicked off with Shania getting ready and we were immediately greeted by her little brother. We gotta tell you Shania, your brother is quite the character. Full of energy, he couldn’t stop raving about how amazing Tien and Shania are together and how much they’ve impacted his life. It was a really sweet moment seeing how expressive he was about them.

The magic really started when we went to Blanco Urban where Tien and Shania shared their private vows. Cue the tender tears… and then cue Tien busting out dance moves that can only be described as “car dealership inflatable man dropping down low” It was in that moment.. we knew this guy was ready to party.

Shania had always dreamed of a fairytale wedding and their first dance brought that vision to life. There was fog rolling across the dance floor, stars being projected on the walls, and these two lovebirds holding each other like something out of a storybook. The couple then surprised everyone with a surprise duet with Shania singing while Tien was playing the piano. The whole room was amazed and honestly so were we.

Once the formalities were done, these two hit the dance floor and made sure the party kicked off in style. Tien’s earlier inflatable-man moves were just a warm-up compared to what we saw lol. This guy brought his A-game, but one of his other friends brought his A+ game when he ripped his pants (photo below).

Again, it was truly a magical wedding that we were honored to be a part of.
