Casa Bella Wedding Gallery | Joanne & Dennybill | Sunol, CA
If I could describe Dennybill & Joanne in one word, it would be fun. When we first met, these two exhibited an energy that was contagious and was constantly feeding off each other. I immediately knew these two were not only lovers, but best friends in the way they carried themselves with one another.
They met in college some 13 years ago, and from the start, they had a special connection. From enjoying those early days of eating MoGo’s (IYKYK) to asking her to be his girlfriend at Treatbot (a classic), to driving her home after shifts at Abercrombie, these were some of the formidable memories that grew these two closer to each other back in the day.
Fast-forward to the proposal, Dennybill picked Big Dog Winery in Milpitas, California, for the big moment. It's located on a hill with a stunning view of San Jose, which I never knew that there was even a winery nearby. The couple asked for me to capture an engagement shoot for them at that same spot—it was like them reliving the proposal all over again. These two even got their engagement photos taken at a bar, 55 South in Downtown San Jose, which was also a first for me. They were just so relaxed and fun to be around, you could tell they were really enjoying every moment.
Joanne has always seen something special in Dennybill. He was there for her during college, motivating her to be her best self, and taking care of her on those nights when she had a bit too much to drink. They had these Friday night Skype dates during school and would always make each other laugh. Dennybill, in turn, admires Joanne for her resilience. She never gave up on her career, even when they had to do long distance. Despite the miles between them, they stuck together, traveling and trying out new foods along the way.
Their wedding at Casa Bella in Sunol was one for the books. Friends and family came from all over to celebrate, and it was non-stop fun. The first look was one of those moments that makes you tear up, with them sharing personal vows that would stand the test of time. During the ceremony, they walked down the aisle as a married couple, which just felt so right. I gotta say, when Dennybill slipped in an Ariana Grande reference during his public vows, it was a hit—especially since I knew how much of a fan he was from our engagement shoot.
The reception was off the roof. There was so much dancing, and it felt like the party never slowed down. But what really stood out was the final dance. After everyone had left the venue, it was just Dennybill and Joanne sharing one last slow dance. It was a sweet way to end a night filled with laughter, love, and some unforgettable moments.
Thank you for having us document your wedding day.
Love,
David
