Mayra & Eduardo.. Where do we even start?
We just had to share the incredible experience we had capturing Mayra and Eduardo’s wedding. This was our first time capturing a big Mexican wedding, and let me tell you.. ¡fue loco! The energy was off the charts, and we felt the love from every corner of the celebration.
Mayra and Eduardo are such a sweet couple. From the moment we met them during the engagement session, we could see the connection they shared and knew their wedding day was going to be special. But man, nothing could have prepared us for the sheer joy and excitement that filled the air on their big day. The number of guests that came out to celebrate was amazing. It was heartwarming to see so many people showing up to shower them with love and support. Everywhere we looked, there were smiles, hugs, and happy tears.
There were so many highlights that we could think of on the day
One of the most beautiful moments was when Eduardo surprised Mayra with a huge bouquet of flowers in the morning by having his sister hand it over to her. Another touching moment was when Mayra showed Eduardo a picture of his grandma who had passed away on his tie. Eduardo was so moved and so were we. Following the ceremony, the couple was swarmed by all their loved ones outside of the church. You could see the excitement from everyone as they all ran up to them to give them a hug. These personal touches added so much depth to their special day.
And then came the reception! One of the biggest moments for us was witnessing La Vibora. This traditional dance had everyone on their feet. Mayra and Eduardo were lifted up facing opposite each other, forming an arch with their hands. Guests passed through the arch while holding hands and dancing. It was so much fun, a little chaotic (LOL), and filled the room with high energy and laughter. Seeing the mariachi band in the room contributed to all the crazy energy too. The vibrant music added so much life to the celebration and really showcased the cultural richness of the wedding.
Of course, towards the tail end of the day, the sunset shoot was another highlight. We were blessed with the craziest golden hour, casting a magical glow over Mayra and Eduardo. It was especially cute when Eduardo put his sombrero on Mayra’s head towards the end of the shoot and climbed on top of the “LOVE” sign to shoot over some spider webs like Spiderman. Those moments turned out to be some of our favorites.
Overall, this was one for the books for us. We’re so glad to have been a part of capturing Mayra and Eduardo’s day. It was filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. Thank you, Mayra and Eduardo, for letting us be a part of your incredible journey.
As they say.. Pa' arriba, pa' abajo, pa' centro, pa' dentro!
Cheers,
David
