Marshall and Nicolette’s love story began 3.5 years ago on Hinge. Their first date was an insightful deep dive into what they had each learned about themselves in therapy. From the very beginning, they knew that authenticity, connection, mindfulness, and growth would be the foundation of their relationship. These core values have brought them immense joy.

Their journey started in an unconventional way. Just a few months into their relationship, COVID hit, altering their plans and routines. However, the pandemic offered them priceless time to slow down and dive deep. They spent countless hours cooking together, discussing their goals, getting to know each other’s families, and evolving into the people they are proud of today.

In January, amidst the beauty of Tahoe and three feet of snow, Marshall proposed by the lake. It was a gorgeous and unforgettable moment. Their adventures include traveling, taking care of their beloved dog Bailey, picking out new plants every time they visit Trader Joe’s, and enjoying the early morning tranquility.

Nicolette has Aphantasia, a condition where she can’t visualize or see memories when she closes her eyes. For her, having photos and videos to bring back the memories of their special moments is incredibly important. These visual captures allow her to relive the magic of their journey together. As a team, we wanted to make sure everything was perfectly captured!

When it came time to plan their wedding, Marshall and Nicolette envisioned a day that was enchanting, sentimental, joyful, and grand. They dreamed of a celebration amidst big trees and waterfalls, surrounded by a whole group of guests. The romance of the day was to be highlighted by aesthetic details like string lights over dinner, stone paths, wooden barn, and a beautiful wooden box that contained their vows.

Nicolette loves how Marshall has helped design their life together. Initially worried by their differences, she found in him someone who checked off her list and brought incredible family values. Marshall cares deeply for others, and embraces every moment fully. His strength, dedication, and the love he shows to everyone around him are what Nicolette cherishes most.

On their wedding day, however, the skies had other plans. It rained—a gentle, persistent rain that might have dampened another couple’s spirits. But for Marshall and Nicolette, it brought a unique and magical vibe to their celebration. The rain added a layer of enchantment to the big trees making everything glisten and shine. The string lights over dinner sparkled even brighter against the raindrops, and the stone paths took on a mystical glow.
